Thanks to Karl-Heinz Wüstner’s tireless research, more and more descendants of the pork butchers from the Hohenlohe region, who emigrated to England and as far afield as Canada in the 19th century, are traced. Every two years, Herr Wüstner organises the Pork Butchers’ Descendants’ Reunion. This year, the focus was on Langenburg. A varied programme delighted the participants and also provided many opportunity to chat with one another and follow in the footsteps of ancestors. The relationship between the Princes of Hohenlohe-Langenburg and the British Royal Family was, of course, a key part of the event. A highlight for all guests was therefore the welcome from Princess Irma and a guided tour of the castle. During a visit to the Café  Bauer, the history of the ‘Wibele’ was explained and on a tour of the town, including a visit to the church, everyone learnt about more historical features of the town. The programme for the other days included, amongst other things, a visit to Dinkelsbühl, as well as meeting the translators of the novel *Die Heilige und ihr Narr* by Agnes Günther, which – although Agnes’s mother was English – had not previously been translated into English. The novel is set in Langenburg and achieved legendary success. Our twinning association was once again invited to take part in the programme.
