Straßenfest 2022

We're thrilled that, after a 2-year hiatus, the Backnanger Straßenfest is taking place between 24th and 27th June 2022! We hope to welcome visitors from Chelmsford, including the covers band, Duck For Cover, who will be playing on the Friday evening. Check 'em out at https://www.facebook.com/duckforcoverr ! Tulpenfrühling

We'll have a stand in Marktstraße at the Backnanger Tulpenfrühling on Sunday, 3rd April. There'll be information, beer and a chance to view Phil vintage MG car!

Twinning between primary schools!

After some preliminary work, we can proudly announce that we now have a firm link between the Schillerschule in Backnang and Baddow Hall Primary School in Great Baddow, Chelmsford. David went there in early March and presented twinning to the children of the school and also, aided by his son Theo, planted two trees - one for twinning and one for the Schillerschule. More low-level activites are planned to bring the young of the two communities closer together - all very exciting. (The sign below was given to David by a pupil at Baddow Hall - obviously making an impact!)

And we're back (again!)

So, it now does look like the Covid restrictions are going to be dropped in Germany and therefore we'll be taking up our activities where we left off in 2020. We have a huge amount of things we want to make happen this year - so stick around!
